Welcome to Jay’s K’tchen, where Nigerian tradition meets Calgary’s table.

I’m Jay, a Nigerian-Canadian entrepreneur, baker, and the heart behind every item that leaves this kitchen. What started as an unexpected love story with food sparked by a high school cooking class and a pot of Efo Riro that made my friends’ eyes light up has grown into a full-time business built on craft, culture, and community.

Baking is where I found my voice. The precision, the creativity, the moment someone takes a bite and their whole face changes, that’s what keeps me going.

From Passion to Purpose

Jay’s K’tchen launched in 2023 and hasn’t slowed down since. What began with banana bread and chocolate chip lemon loaves has evolved into a full menu of handcrafted Nigerian baked goods and snacks, proudly served across Calgary.

Some highlights along the way: catering a wedding for over 200 guests, producing over 1,000 meat pies and puff puff for a single event, and building a brand that Calgarians keep coming back to one bite at a time.
